              It’s
a clear statement from the electorate for independent candidate
for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly,   K. Jayaprakash Hegde
that he and his deeds are the need of the constituency. They
said it loud and clear. It’s a whopping 11,000 and odd lead over
the nearest candidates, Congress Party’s Pramod Madwaraj and
              K.Shankara Poojari of BJP.

His supporters were seen merry making, lighting the crackers and
shouting slogans in Barkur and Brahmavar.

Mr.Vinaya Kumar Sorake bowed out to the people’s verdict as
Mrs. Manorama Madwaraj of BJP won the Udupi seat for MP by
about 29000 and odd votes. Surprisingly our man from Barker,
Mr. Ozwald Fernandes of Kannada Nadu   was nearer to his dream
by a thumping  24,531 votes ,  toppling all the predictions  .
