The Catholic community of St. Peter's Church, Barkur, solemnly commemorated All Souls Day on Saturday with special prayers and ceremonies for the departed faithful.


During this sacred occasion, prayers were offered for all the deceased members of the parish families. Under the leadership of Fr. Ronald Miranda, the Holy Mass was celebrated as a sacrificial offering for all the departed souls.




Following the Mass, the faithful visited the cemetery where prayers were conducted for all those laid to rest there, as well as for the souls in purgatory. The cemetery was blessed during the ceremony, marking a meaningful conclusion to the day's observances.




All Souls Day, observed annually on November 2nd, is a significant day in the Catholic calendar dedicated to praying for the faithful departed, reflecting the Church's belief in the communion of saints and the importance of prayers for those who have passed away.
