Barkur, September 8, 2025 - The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Barkur organized a vibrant Pushpa-Rangoli competition at St. Peter's Church to celebrate the Feast of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The event, held on Sunday at 3:30 PM, saw enthusiastic participation from women across various parish wards.
Competition Results
First Place: Reshma Tina Rodrigues, Supritha John Lewis, and Saritha Dias from Hanehalli ward.
Second Place: Renita Lobo from St Sebastian Ward
Third Place: Rashmin Olivera (Bennekudru ward), Savitha Picardo (Rosary ward), and Lavina Olivera (Bennekudru ward)
The competition showcased beautiful floral rangoli designs, with participants demonstrating remarkable creativity and devotion. The event was coordinated by Rian Angelo Arouza, Rashel Gonsalves, and Hitesh Pereira, highlighting the strong community spirit within the parish as women from different wards came together to celebrate their faith through art.
