Smt. Rukmini Shedhi Memorial National Higher Primary School, Heradi, marked the 79th Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. This year’s celebration carried special significance, as the institution stands on the threshold of its Centenary Jubilee, to be commemorated in November–December 2025.
By 9:00 am, the sprawling, picturesque campus was filled with students, parents, alumni, and well-wishers, all gathered to pay homage to the nation. The Correspondent of the School, Mr. A . Ratnakar Shetty, retired DFO, unfurled the tricolour amidst the stirring strains of patriotic songs. In his inspiring address, he urged the young minds to uphold the values of unity, service, and dedication to the motherland.
The celebrations also featured an impressive and colourful parade by the students, which won much appreciation from the audience. Headmaster Mr. Ratnakar Shetty welcomed the gathering, shared glimpses of the school’s glorious journey, and briefed everyone on the preparations for the grand 100-year celebration.
The event concluded with the distribution of sweets and refreshments, adding a note of warmth and camaraderie to the patriotic morning.
