Sri Masti Durga Children's Group celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Sri Mastiamma Temple in Barakuru Dharmashale. As part of the celebrations, the 18th annual Pratibha Puraskar and Sri Lakshminarayanayya Memorial Endowment Fund were distributed to the children.
The event was attended by notable figures including Sri Ananta Padmanabha Bhat, the temple's chief priest; Anand Kumar Barkur, executive of the "Nammuru Barkuru" Facebook group; Smt. Vishala Mahesh, president of the Sri Masti Durga Women's Bhajan Group; Sri Raghavendrarao Maskibailu, the bhajan guru; Subhanu Suresh M. from the temple's administrative committee; members of the Sri Masti Durga Women's Bhajan Group; children from the Sri Masti Durga Children's Bhajan Group; and devotees.
Under the guidance of priest Sri Ananta Padmanabha Bhat and bhajan guru Sri Raghavendrarao Maskibailu, the women's and children's bhajan groups continue to perform at the temple and various religious events. This initiative aims to instill spiritual awareness in children alongside their education and provides support for underprivileged children's studies.
The event featured bhajans performed by the women's group and children, followed by a special puja for Sri Masti Amma on the first day of Navaratri.
