The Sri Venugopal Krishna Temple at Mudukeri, Barkur is all set to host a magnificent Krishna Janmashtami celebration with elaborate floral decorations. Renowned entrepreneur Arun V. Ganiga from Dubai has generously sponsored the entire cost of the temple's floral arrangements for the festival.
The Sri Venugopal Krishna Youth Association (Regd.), Mudukeri, Barkur is organizing the 29th annual Sri Krishna Janmashtami and Mosaru Kudike (pot-breaking) festival on September 14-15, 2025. The organizers extend a warm invitation to devotees to participate in large numbers and seek the divine blessings of Lord Krishna.
Event Schedule:
September 14, 2025 (Sunday):
- 4:00 PM onwards: Bhajan performances by various devotional groups
- 11:00 PM: Special Arghya (ritual offering) to the moon during moonrise
September 15, 2025 (Monday):
- 9:00 AM: Sports competitions for primary and high school students (separate categories for boys and girls)
- 2:30 PM: Traditional pole-climbing competition for breaking the mosaru kudike (curd pot)
- 3:00 PM: Muddu Krishna (Little Krishna) competition for children aged 1-4 years and 4-8 years
The festival promises to be a grand celebration of devotion, tradition, and community participation. The President, office bearers, and all members of the Sri Venugopal Krishna Youth Association, Mudukeri, Barkur extend a heartfelt welcome to all devotees and participants.
