Barkur, December 14, 2025 – Barkur Parish celebrated Confraternity Sunday, also known as the Feast of Brotherhood and Unity, with great devotion and spiritual fervor today.
The solemn celebration included the Holy Eucharist, which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Rajesh Rosario, Rector of Jeppu Seminary, who served as the main celebrant. Rev. Fr. Ronald Miranda, the Parish Vicar, concelebrated the Mass.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Rajesh Rosario delivered an inspiring message on the themes of the Eucharist and brotherhood, emphasizing the importance of unity and fraternal love within the Christian community.
Following the Mass, the congregation participated in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, which was followed by a solemn Eucharistic procession, adding to the spiritual significance of the celebration.
Mr. Simon Suvares and his family from Halekodi served as the sponsors and took responsibility for organizing the feast celebrations, ensuring the success of this important parish event.
The Confraternity Sunday celebration brought together parishioners in a spirit of fellowship and renewed their commitment to living out the values of Christian brotherhood and community service.
