The foundation stone ceremony for the new auditorium at Srimati Rukmini Shedti Memorial National Government First Grade College and Postgraduate Research Centre in Barkur was held today.
Dr. M.C. Sudhakara, Minister of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, laid the foundation stone for the new auditorium. Vedamurthi Sri Ganapati Udupi of Kudli performed the religious rituals and ceremonies for the occasion.
The ceremony was presided over by Sri E. Kiran Kumar Kodgi, the esteemed MLA representing the Kundapura Assembly constituency.
Chief guests at the event included Sri Manjunath Bhohari, member of the Legislative Council; Sri B. Shantaram Shetty, President of Barkur Gram Panchayat; and Srimati Mallika Pujari, President of Hane Halli Gram Panchayat.
Prof. Sri Bhaskar Shetty Salvadi, the Principal, along with members of the College Development Committee, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, alumni members, and representatives from the Teachers and Guardians Association, were also present at the event.
