Free Uniform and Notebook Distribution at National Higher Primary School, Hanehalli, Barkur

A heartwarming and meaningful event unfolded at the National Higher Primary School, Hanehalli, as students from Class I to VII received new sets of uniforms and notebooks, generously sponsored by Sankamma Tayi Resorts, Barkur, along with other kind-hearted donors who have established endowments for this noble cause over the years.

The programme was presided over by Mr. B. Shantaram Shetty, President of the Barkur Educational Society (BES). In his inspiring address, he expressed deep gratitude to all the well-wishers of this historic institution, which has nurtured many scholars in its illustrious past. He also commended Headmaster Mr. Udaya Shetty and his dedicated team of teachers for their tireless efforts in transforming the school into one of the finest Kannada medium primary institutions in the region, equipped with most modern facilities.

A special and thought-provoking address was delivered by Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, former HM and recipient of the National Level Best Teacher Award, who emphasized the importance of parental involvement in the educational journey — highlighting that education is a shared responsibility of students, teachers, and parents alike.

Notebooks for all students were kindly sponsored by Mr. Vittal S. Hegde, Hotel Kirthi, Belgaum, and were distributed by the dignitaries on stage.

Mrs. Lalita, CRP of Brahmavar, in her address, praised the commendable efforts of the teaching staff, the proactive role of the management, and the unwavering support of past students in the growth of the institution.

Mr. Praveen Shetty, President of the Old Students Association, fondly reminisced about his days in this very institution and acknowledged the pivotal role it played in shaping the lives and futures of many.

The programme began with a soulful prayer by the students, invoking divine blessings.

HM Mr. Udaya Shetty warmly welcomed all the guests and attendees.

Teacher Suma offered heartfelt thanks to all donors and well-wishers, while Teacher Shailaja flawlessly compered the entire event. The function concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Teacher Navyalatha.

To add to the warmth of the occasion, refreshments were served in abundance to parents, students, and guests — making the day not only meaningful but memorable for all who attended.
