A warm and memorable farewell ceremony was organized by the School Management Committee in the auditorium of National Pre-University College, Barkur, to honor Smt. Jyothi Shetty, a dedicated Science teacher who served the institution with discipline and devotion for the past 30 years before retiring from her distinguished career.
The event was presided over by Sri B. Shantharama Shetty, President of the Barkur Educational Society (Reg.), Barkur.
Among the distinguished guests who graced the occasion were Sri Rajarama Shetty, Director of S.V.V.N. English Medium School, Heradi; Sri Ashok Kumar Shetty, Secretary of the Barkur Educational Society; Sri Archibald Purtado, Administrative Coordinator of the Barkur Educational Society; Smt. Usha Kirana Shetty, Principal of National Pre-University College, Barkur; Smt. Hemavathi P.S., Senior Assistant Teacher; Sri Karunakara Shetty, President of the Alumni Association; Prof. Bhaskar Shetty Salvadi, Principal of Smt. Rukmini Shetty Memorial Government First Grade College, Barkur; and Sri U. Mohan Rao, retired Commerce lecturer.
Also present were Sri Ratnakar Shetty, Sri Shankara Shetty, Sri Ramachandra Kamath, Sri Srinivasa Shettigara (School Development Committee member), Sri Uday Shetty (Headmaster, National Private Senior Primary School, Hanehalli), and several other retired and serving faculty members, alumni, Rotary Club members, and well-wishers of Smt. Jyothi Shetty.
The School Management Committee felicitated Smt. Jyothi Shetty, commending her exemplary professional conduct and tireless service over three decades, and extended their heartfelt best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Jyothi Shetty fondly remembered her mentor, the late Sri B. Sitarama Shetty, who gave her the opportunity to serve as a teacher, and expressed her sincere gratitude to the school management, colleagues, and professional associates for their wholehearted support throughout her career.
The ceremony concluded with a warm banquet for all attendees.
Sri Ashok Kumar Shetty delivered the vote of thanks, and the programme was compered by Kannada teacher Sri K. P. Maruthi.
