Annual elections of I.C.Y.M Barkur Unit was held recently. Office bearers for the year 2016-17 were elected in the presence of the Director Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonca and Animators Herald D'Souza and Sabitha Fernandes. Oath taking ceremony for the new office bearers was held during the first mass on sunday, i.e. on 17th April 2016.

The newly President and tookover the charge from former President Akshay Dias during the meeting after the thanksgiving mass. Director Fr Valerian Mendonca praised the service of the old team lead by Akshay Dias and wished best for the newly elected team. The current year being a special year for the unit, as it is celebrating the Ruby Jubilee of its existence, the new team lead by Kelron Pais has the added responsibility of making the year a meaningful one. Programs pertaining to the Ruby Jubilee celebrations are to be chalked out in coming days as decided during the meeting.
