The installation ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the Interact Club was held at Government High School, Kavadi, under the joint auspices of the Interact Club and Rotary Club, Barkur.
The program was presided over by Rotarian H. Ajith Kumar Shetty. Rotarian Gangadhar Joshi pinned the collar badge on the new office-bearers.
Present on the dais were Assembly Area Representative Rotarian Seetharam S, Interact Club President Rotarian Kushala Poojary, B. Ratnakara Shetty, Interact Teacher Coordinator Smt. Nagaveni, and the school's Headmistress Smt. Jayashree. Also present were the 2025-26 outgoing President Kum. Meghana and Secretary Ashwith, along with the newly elected 2026-27 Interact President Kum. Prarthana and Secretary Ahalya.
Smt. Nagaveni delivered the introductory remarks and welcome address. Assembly Area Representative Rotarian Seetharam S formally installed the new President, Kum. Prarthana, into office. The newly installed President, Kum. Prarthana, then introduced her team.
Rotarian Kushala Poojary spoke about Rotary and Interact, sharing detailed information about the organizations. Rotarian Seetharam S also provided information about Interact and expressed his appreciation for the club's activities. Rotarian B. Ratnakara Shetty conducted an engaging quiz program for the students.
Headmistress Smt. Jayashree expressed her appreciation for Rotary's contributions. Rotarian H. Ajith Kumar Shetty delivered the presidential address. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Secretary Rotarian B. Ganesh Acharya. Rotarian Kushala Poojary sponsored the sweets distributed on the occasion.
Adding to the charm of the event, the schoolgirls performed a beautiful duet song dedicated to the Rotary Club and Interact Club, which was warmly received by all present.
