Maryknoll High School, Barkur celebrate 73rd Republic Day.

The students community of MHS assembled in the Maryknoll open grounds to pay their highest respects to the national tricolour, reverence to freedom fighters and scripter’s of our great Constitution as the spirit of India as one nation, feeling of joy and pride being an Indian was demonstrated and exhibited, while one of its proud alumnus Fr Ivan DAlmeida, who was chief guest, unfurled the flag and conveyed greetings of the great day.

As the children presented Songs emphasising the patriotism, Head Mistress Sr Jasmitha highlighted the significance of this national day and insisted students to imbibe the ideals of our nation builders over the years and become responsible citizens of this great nation.

School Student leader Ashwin spoke about Republic Day and inspired fellow children to love, respect and dedicate themselves for the welfare of the nation whatever little ways possible now on and grow with one nation, one spirit and a great Nation.

The short but meaningful celebration was compeered by Maths Teacher Mr Ramananda and Mr Harry Physical Director proposed vote of thanks, as all teaching and non teaching staff attended the programme.

All present were served with sweets to share the spirit of oneness and solidarity.
