Public Sri Ganesha Festival, Moodu Thota Balehitlu, Barkur, Second Year Public Ganesha Festival

BARKUR - The historic town of Barkur witnessed yet another vibrant celebrations as the Moodu Thota Balehitlu area organized its second annual Public Sri Ganesha Festival, marking a significant milestone in the community's religious and cultural calendar.

The festival, orchestrated by the local enthusiasts, brought together devotees from across the region to honor Lord Ganesha with traditional fervor and enthusiasm. The celebrations featured elaborate decorations, cultural programs, and community participation that reflected the deep-rooted devotional spirit of the area.

The highlight of the festival was the grand procession, where beautifully adorned idol of Lord Ganesha was carried through the streets  amidst chanting of hymns and traditional music. Devotees lined the procession route, offering prayers and seeking blessings from the beloved elephant-headed deity.


The festivities culminated with the traditional immersion ceremony, where the Ganesha idol was ceremoniously immersed in water bodies, following age-old customs that symbolize the cycle of creation and dissolution.

Local organizers expressed satisfaction with the growing participation in the festival's second year, noting increased community involvement and support. The Dharmika Sabha coordinated various aspects of the celebration, ensuring smooth conduct of all religious and cultural activities.
