SDMC School, Barkur, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the chief guest, Sri Rajendra Ganiga, an alumnus and donor of the school, in the presence of Sri Shantharam Shetty, Hon. President of Barkur Gram Panchayat. Mrs. Sushila, President of the school, Sri Ramesh, Vice President, and all the members of the school management committee graced the occasion.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by the headmistress, Smt. Sharada Kumari. The event was well attended by staff members, local dignitaries, and alumni of the school.
In his address, the chief guest highlighted the significance of Independence Day and inspired the students with his words. This was followed by a cultural program presented by the students, which included prayers, patriotic songs, dances, and various performances that filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Smt. Mathi Shailaja, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.
