The campus of Maryknoll School came alive with colour, festive decorations, and cheerful bunting on Thursday, 4th September 2025, as students gathered with immense joy to honour their dear teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

The day’s celebration began at 10.00 am, when all the teachers were escorted with great respect and love to the School Hall. The program opened with a prayerful invocation, and a heart touching welcome address by Anjali other students led the seamless ceremony...followed by a short but meaningful stage program.

On this occasion, Retired Prof. Archibald Furtado, Secretary of the Senior Students Association (MHPS), delivered an inspiring message. He fondly recalled his formative years at Maryknoll, appreciated the selfless service of teachers in moulding young minds, and congratulated the teaching fraternity for carrying forward this noble mission with dedication.

What followed was a treat of talent and joy – three unique and graceful dance performances by the students left the audience spellbound. Adding to the merriment, a series of fun-filled games and competitions were organized exclusively for the teachers, creating moments of laughter, bonding, and camaraderie.

In a touching gesture, each teacher was presented with a fresh rose and a pen on behalf of the Old Students. Headmistress Mrs. Joyce Vandan D’Sa surprised her colleagues with special gifts, while the students, brimming with affection, brought beautifully wrapped presents for the winners of the day’s games.

The celebration concluded with the distribution of refreshments and sweets, ensuring that the day was not only joyful but also truly blessed and memorable as student leader Fiyona beautifully proposed vote of thanks.

The warmth, respect, and gratitude expressed by the students made this Teachers’ Day 2025 a cherished chapter in the history of Maryknoll School
