In a bid to address pressing concerns within the community, the Barkur Unit of Sthree Sanghatan, (Women's Organization) recently organized an informative workshop covering two crucial topics - the challenges faced by the Gen Z population, as well as the issue of substance abuse among the youth.

The event was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto, the Director of the renowned 'Sampada' organization, who served as the resource person. He provided insightful perspectives on the various genetic and psychological challenges experienced by the Gen Z generation, as well as the critical role and responsibilities of parents in supporting their children during these formative years.

The workshop was attended by a large number of Parishioners who actively engaged with the speaker and sought clarifications on these pertinent issues.

Lavina Oliveira, the President of the Barkur Women's Organization,  welcomed Fr. Reginald Pinto and expressed gratitude for his valuable contribution. Similarly, the Secretary, Irene Pais, extended a warm vote of thanks to all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement.

The event successfully highlighted the organization's commitment to addressing the needs of the community, particularly the well-being of the younger generation. By facilitating such informative sessions, the Barkur Sthree Sanghatan  aims to empower local residents with the knowledge and resources to navigate the complexities faced by today's youth.
