In an earnest endeavor to bolster the ongoing three-day nationwide Polio Vaccination Drive, targeting children between the ages of 0 to 5 years, the National Primary School in Hanehalli has taken proactive measures to raise awareness within the local community. Spearheading this initiative was the school's Head Master, Mr. Udyakumar Shetty, along with the collaborative efforts of the school authorities and enthusiastic health workers from the Government LF Hospital.

On Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, a vibrant procession, known as a "jatha," was organized by the National Primary School. Participants marched through the streets adorned with placards and banners, passionately advocating for the importance of polio vaccination. This concerted effort aimed to educate and mobilize residents within the locality, ensuring widespread awareness of the ongoing vaccination drive.

The involvement of health workers from the Government LF Hospital further strengthened the initiative, as dedicated teams were deployed to administer the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation. These teams are committed to visiting every household within the community to ensure that all eligible children receive the necessary vaccinations.

The collaborative spirit demonstrated by the National Primary School, in partnership with the Government LF Hospital, exemplifies the collective determination to eradicate polio from the nation. By actively engaging with the local community and disseminating crucial information, they are playing a pivotal role in safeguarding the health and well-being of children.

As the vaccination drive progresses, it is imperative that all members of the community actively participate by spreading awareness and ensuring that children within their care receive the polio vaccine. Together, through unified efforts and unwavering commitment, we can achieve the shared goal of a polio-free future for generations to come.
