In a tragic incident in Hanehalli, Barkur, a young man was shot dead by unidentified assailants. The victim, identified as Krishna (38), was found lifeless with gunshot wounds. Despite being married, Krishna resided alone in his house in Hanehalli.
The chilling incident unfolded on Saturday night around 9:30 PM when locals heard gunfire but dismissed it as firecrackers. However, the grim reality dawned the next morning when Krishna's lifeless body was discovered near his residence.
Krishna, who worked in Manipal, became a victim of ruthless violence in his own home. Udupi SP Dr. Arun K visited the crime scene to oversee investigations into the murder.
Police authorities swiftly responded to the scene and launched a comprehensive investigation. The Brahmavar Police Station has officially registered a case in connection with the murder.
The motive behind the heinous act remains unclear, prompting law enforcement officials to delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the tragic demise of Krishna.
